The doctoral dissertation written by Jill Chasse focuses on the role of workplace support available for by working women during the perinatal period in relation to wellness of the newborn, determined by the Bayley Scales of Infant Development.
"The Proposal that has been researched, (Case Study Research Methodology), administratively prepared and submitted for academic review and assessment by a Faculty Advisor on the research topic related to: "The Effect of Maternal Support in the Workplace during Perinatal Period on the Wellness of the Newborn" is excellent. The Problem Statement which is the "heart and blueprint" of the study is very definitive and very well written. Chapters 1-5 are also very well written. The contents of these chapters are very detailed, insightful, substantive, pragmatic and very well written.
The student has clearly focused on the importance of what may be taking place in the workplace for women related to Prenatal Stress, Discrimination and the lack of support for women.
The Proposal is a very fine example of graduate level research and preparation. Very well done. Excellent Proposal."
