Career areas: I would be willing to employ Jill Chasse in any capacity. She was an exemplary student who could do anything she put her mind to.
Best suited for: research, teaching, helping others (clinical)
Comments: Jill Chasse is someone who impressed me from the very first interactions with her. She is motivated and hard working, independent, yet works well in a team, and very capable of performing any task placed before her. She always took it upon herself to go above and beyond her required work and made an effort to be a leader in the class through her encouraging and helpful comments to others. Jill was a superior student and I am sure she would be an asset to any organization.

Career areas: Research Administration or support
Best suited for: child development. parent counseling, clinical organization, research administration
Comments: Dr. Chasse was an NIH Special Volunteer for more than a year with the Child Development and Behavior Branch at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. She was of significant help ion the Branch, doing things such as literature searches and reviews and research portfolio analyses. Her budget background made her a real asset to the branch, in addition to her background in child development which was the actual basis of our having her accepted into the branch. We regretted not having an employment opportunity for her here, and were sorry to see her Special Volunteer status end. She is a reliable and very hard working individual.

Career areas: Best usage would be as a technical program manager as Jill has excellent problem solving skills as well as project management talent
Best suited for: My experience is that Dr. Chasse handled a wide range of tasks from engineering projects in field to admin type work in office and excelled in all

Class and Workshop comments

Child Development & Psychology I
Although I am only on the first Lesson I feel it has already been beneficial with understanding my 18 month old daughter!
Thank you!!
Bill

So far, I'm loving this class! I'm learning so much and it's all very interesting!!
Amy

I am on lesson 5 right now. My favorite lesson in this course is definitely Lesson 4. Very true! Games are extremely important for a child's communicational development! Also, what more does a child want then a little extra fun time to be with mommy and daddy! My daughter's communicational skills have developed as well as my ability to understand her stages of development in this course. I am very pleased, and my daughter is quite happy!

It has been a great class.

Childbirth Education and Preparation- Magic of Motherhood Method

Great Course! I've just completed the course - if I would have known I'd have taken my  CBE course online.  Very informative and loved the information on hypnobirthing and understanding the consciousness of babies.  I have a few pamphlets from Santa Barbara Graduate Institute and it talks about "talking  with babies".  I've used these suggestions and principles a lot w/ both my children.  Even though my son may not talk back to me, I've given him time to respond in whatever way he feels he can.  It definitely makes me feel calmer overall.  Thanks a bunch.  And ladies if you are ready or have had your babies- enjoy!  It is so true they grow up so fast so enjoy the baby time.

Dear Dr. Chasse,
I completed the two parts of the second assignment.  I thought that the content was profound and inspiring.  I find that I am taking what I am learning in this class and informing my pregnant relatives about what I am learning.  It is a pleasure to do these assignments.  I am learning a lot and feel excited to work on assignment 3 !!

"I really appreciated having this online class to help us through the birth of my third child. It was very
helpful to feel empowered this time around. Even though we chose a hospital birth, we had many tools to
use to ease labor and connect with our baby before he was even born."

Perinatal Loss Workshop
What a beautiful job you have done and what a wonderful service you are providing to grieving parents. You really thought of all of the details that go into dealing/grieving/remembering a pregnancy loss. I especially liked the meanings of the different flowers/plants, as each one represents an emotion or message. Congratulations and a job well done!

Wow - I just spent a few minutes on your website/syllabus - I had no idea you offered such a wonderful class. I apologize so much for not getting" it before.  I feel like I'm on the right page now. ...

I'd also love to post the information about your workshop on our Healing Hearts website.  . . . .
I know it must be (a delicate balancing act). But very necessary. With grief this devastating, it's possible to become lost in it. That's the reason I wanted to include the forum--people who found their way out are an incredible resource for each other.
Carry on, Sweetie. Good and unfortunately, necessary work. I bow to thee.
